    Check it out

Not too bad for a couple of hours out in the studio. :)

Signal path is Sennheiser 609-> Presonus Digimax->Protools. No compression or eq added, just straight from the speaker. Guitar rig is Suhr Classic w/v60lp's into Flexi50 through a Mesa 1x12 (non Thiele). I'm working the volume knob and pickup selection for the tone variations primarily.

Left channel is Mayer Voodoo 1 and little delay now and then from the G Major.

Right channel is Keeley TS9+ with a little delay from G Major.

Lead track is TS9->Voodoo1 using the Flexi's boost as well. I kick in the Sunface NKT275 on verse 3 and the mojo vibe on the last chorus.

Flexi is set (on all tracks) at Vol - 2:00, Treble - 9:00, Mid - 9:00, Bass - 4:00, Boost Gain - 4:00, Boost - Tone - 11:00, Master - 12:00, Cut - 10:00. 50 watt mode is used and input is set to high.

Maybe this will give a little different slant on some of the Flexi audio clips I've heard. I'll try and get some clean samples up soon.

Nice demo, Jeff! Nice to hear some well-excuted chops, rather than haphazzard shredding. Amazing "flexibility" with the Flexi. So many other users (myself included) usually crank up the mids Full and set some of the other tonal knobs on the higher end, yet you achieve fine tone at "lower" settings. Thanks for sharing!;)

Man...nice clip. I listened to it an hour ago and the melody is still stuck in my head. That's pretty good with my level of brain damage!

    Well done!!

Excellent stuff Jeff! I checked it out yesterday when it was still on the amp page. Loved the clean tone and I thought the playing was might tasty!

Jeff, What's in the Mesa 1x12? An 85? I really like your clip. Probably the best demo of that amp I have heard. Do you listen to Johnny A? Could you do a track with more gain in it?

What did you use to get the bass and the drum tracks?

    Thanks, Vic

It's got the Celestion 90 (Black Shadow I think). I've heard of Johnny A but never listened to him.

I used Stylus for the drum loops. I played the bass track (Peavey Grinder into the Digimax into an RNC).

    Thanks for the kind words!

Really enjoyed that Jeff. Nice playing.

I'm looking forward to dialing that up on my Flexi tonite. Nice tone.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Sounds great.
I always like to see(hear) how others are dialing it up.

wow - i really enjoyed this clip not only for it's musicality, but for the way it shows the amp's possibilities (you are right - this was a different (but very welcome) flavor as compared to most of the other excellent flexi clips taht have been posted) ... thanks for sharing it .... kinda funny, i have a pair of those (non thiele) mesa boogie 1x12" cabs (celestions) and have often wondered what a flexi would sound like through them ... now i know :D

very much looking forward to clean clips

    cheers

You all are very kind. Glad you are liking the clip.

The Flexi really is a great piece of gear. It loves pedals and responds really well to pickup selection and volume/tone knob manipulation. Plus having a head in a gig bag is just cool :)

Nice, funny you should call it wankage...as this was a fully thought out groove. Very nice textures and enough more to breath. Was this done a bedroom level?
