I would, but in the interest of bass players everywhere, and those that must play with them, I wont....;)

22 years ago, I had a bass built with a Kahler bass tremolo. Words can't express what a stupid idea that was.

    Save your money...

There are very few bassists who IMHO have been able to put a bass tremolo system to good use. Randy Coven, Victor Wooten (OK, I can only think of two). And even then they used it sparingly. Please don't ruin a perfectly good bass with a floating bridge.

My 2 cents - spend it as you see fit (as long as it doesn't go to fund a floating bridge for your bass ;) )

    Cheers,

    Edward

a floating bass trem is great, unless you want to, you know, play in a band or something.

ACTUAL VIDEO USE OF A TREM!

I posted this awhile back, on talkbass. This is Soft Machine doing Tale of Taliesin, with Roy Babbington playing a Fender VI Bass, with a trem...

...and at times, in brief shots, he appears to use it....
