    Hi,

I have been really busy and haven't had time to play much lately.
When I did I felt I haven't spent much time with my Suhr Classic as I've been in a jazzy sort of phase.

So when I picked up the Suhr this tune was the result.
All guitar tracks were recorded with the Suhr. I feel my present recording setup is very versatily and I was very pleased with the sounds I got here.

    Fly Down

Your opinions are of course welcome!

    Cheers,

    Mats N

Love your music Mats, and this is another great example of why!
Do you record segements and then cut and paste on computer?
Your music always sounds so tight. Thanks for the post.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the kind words!
Good to know it hasn't been too long. :D

I do record my stuff on a PC using Cubase SX 3. I try as much as possible to do each track as a single take for sort of a musical cohesivness. Having said that, I must admit I do the occasional punch-in as I do make mistakes.

Regarding your view that it sounds tight, that is probably because I do use quite strict quantizing on certain MIDI-to-virtual-instruments tracks and then try very very hard to get the timing right on the stuff I record live.

    Cheers,

    Mats N

    Hi,

Dave35- Thanks for the nice comment, as usual!

Normster - I've never had any self-admitted fans before. Now I have a genuine one. That warms my creative soul. Thank you!
I hope that sets the tone for the week as I'm expecting feedback on a few job applications.

    Cheers,

    Long time!!!
It's with mixed feeling I awaiting your takes.
On the plus side I know it will be immensely inspirational.
On the downside I know it will be frustrating as I can never ever play the cool way you do. :D

Very nice Mats!! I was immediately reminded of Hirum Bullock... I thought the head sounded just like his material from the 80s.....

    Great playing on it too!!!!!

    Hi Marcello and ScottL,

It seems more and more obvious to me that much of my musical growth happened in the 80's and that I will forever be colored by this fact.
    I'll work on it! :D

    Thanks for the listen!

    Cheers,
