Footswitch for Boss SD-2

So can anybody help me make a footswitch for the SD-2? I am wanting an LED with the footswitch. I know that the switch is as simple as a SPST switch with a jack, but I thought that adding an LED would be a little harder.

If someone could inform me on what switch I need to use and what the diagram looks like that would be great!

The remote control of SD-2 needs a SPST switch with latch.

In my opinion, you don't need the LED, because the pedal only
has 3 states, lead channel on / crunch channel on / all channels off.
You can see RED LED on / GREEN LED on / all LED off.

If you really want an extra LED, get a SPDT or DPDT switch. Also, you will need a battery or another power socket,
a lot of trouble.

More I think about it, I think you are right. So is it just a SPST switch with a jack wire to each of the lugs on the switch?

Actually, the LED is a HUGE benefit on an SD-2 mode footswitch,as when the pedal is off you cant see which mode will be active when you stomp on it.And considering the lead channel is like a massive MIA crunch box,and the rythem channel is a very mild and transparent overdrive, you dont want to mix them up at a gig!
Get a boss FS-5L and be done with it.
I guess you can tell I like my SD-2! :aok

I have to agree with MIM#1's comments about the LED.

Let's say without the LED, only one SPST switch with latch is fine.
The Boss FS-5L is also a good choice. But if you want to make your own with one or two LEDs, I can do some drawing. One LED need SPDT(or DPDT) switch, two LEDs need DPDT switch, and some other components.

Since some SD-2 users are here, I have a question.
Is your Crunch channel a little too much(too much distortion/uncontrollable) when its level passes 10/11 oclock? I got this question because someone said he thought there is sth wrong with my SD-2.
