H-150 Korina body:
G&L ASAT Deluxe Korina:
G&L Bluesboy Korina:
Damn! That"s a dream guitar for me. Care to share what they go for?
My fav Black Limba
the next two are all Korina - painted solid
One I used to own. 2010 Korina McSoapy. Very light and very spanky sounding. Like a beefy Telecaster.
PRS Private Stock 594 w/ maple top, black limba body and korina neck
Thorn 175 w/ black limba body and korina neck
The very first guitar I ever played that was made from black limba and korina was Ron’s, and I knew I just had to have one. Been a fan ever since!
Nothing rings quite like Korina!! These 3 are mine & all are incredible guitars:
Williams V58 '58 spec Flying V
Echopark La Carne Custom Korina
In '11 I took an '08 PRS McCarty Korina off the rack at Sam Ash for giggles. I never had owned PRS or Korina and they weren't on my radar. My then fiance (now wife) saw how much I enjoyed playing it and encouraged me to get it. I sold 2 Heritage guitars and went back and bought it.
My old TGP thread from the time of purchase: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/would-you-do-it-prs-content.897795/
I still own & play it.
You never told me your address and at what time you are not home so I can do my Tom Cruise's Mission impossible on that green thing and fly to the other side of the world running away from you .
Ha! The River Bottom, CA. Thanks for the compliment. You're first if I ever decide to sell (not likely).
Pirateflynn... you have some of the nicest guitars around!!! @macmax77, I’ll join you on that mission impossible run!
Please have all of these shipped to my home at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Stealth Korina, body and neck -- MWUAHAHAH!
I don't know -- I'd say that's the least stealthy guitar I've ever seen!!
It looks good. But do you all like how it sounds?
My only Korina guitar, a G&L ASAT. I believe 100 were made, and this is at least the second in this thread. It could use some shielding, though. The P90s are a bit noisy.
Man that looks great.
I don't think I've ever owned any korinas all this time.
Would the characteristics be like mahogany? Looks a bit like it grainwise.
Sweet Jesus that's nice.
