I don't want to deal with wireless but I'd like either a headset or lapel mic that is phantom powered. Looking at the Audio-Technica ATM75 headset mic.

Is there an equivalent lapel mic that plugs into a phantom powered pack ? And would I have an issue with the lapel mic picking up too much of the acoustic sound of the guitar?

Jack, one solution for the acoustic noise would be to record the lapel mic or whichever you choose separately and import it into the video, muting it while the playing is going on with your video editor.

i will be doing that. The voice and the guitar are going direct into my mixer but the lapel mic will still pick up some ambient guitar from the monitors and the acoustic sound of the guitar. The headset mic will do the same but may not pick up as much of the acoustic sound of the guitar due to distance.

Sometimes I am talking while the music is playing so I can't entirely use an automatic muting technique.

What if you put the amp in another room and recorded it with a mic?
