Though that infamous play made it appear that Yepremian had never tossed a football, ever - during practice the day before, he was warming up and throwing 30 yard passes to Don Shula's son, David.

I was a little kid when that game was played, and no sporting event will ever rival the heartbreak I felt from that day.

    Rest in peace, Garo.

That's a bummer. I had an NFL story book 'Football Players do the Craziest Things' and that was one if the stories.

Not a comment on Garo but is weird looking at the old footage and seeing how much smaller the players were back then compared to today.

I saw that when it happened, felt so sorry for him. I also saw him try to tackle a huge player on a blocked field goal one time, the Miami players on the field were trying to stop him so he wouldn't get hurt. little guy had heart and talent. RIP

MMQB had an interesting blurb about him and how he is most known for that blunder but how he was absolutely indispensable in achieving the perfect record - he kicked his longest FG of his career and many other very clutch kicks to win games that season
