To explain the pick I told the kids at school. (5th graders) that I used to be friends with the grinch till he got on my bad side. They laughed and then got a bit uncomfortable.

Lol. Best job in the world.

Perfect......I learned to play on a 9’ snooker table. Hard to find a table that size to play on anymore.

Probably should start working on my Galaga game though. :D

I don't have the game at home put I'm sure I can give you a run for the money.
9' table...that's a lot of real estate; I'm sporting an 8' table, cause size doesn't matter!!!!!

Yep. When we built the house I told the contractor I wanted room for a big pool table over the garage he delivered.

It is a whole new type of game. And when so play on smaller tables I have to adjust for sure.

Best after work game in the world.

I don't know why anyone would ever buy a different size. 4.5 x 9 is the standard size. Anything smaller is a toy.

Back in the 30s they were mostly 5 x 10s. I played at a really old room in Springfield Mass a couple times in the 80s, Smith's. They still had a couple of 5 x 10s. I expect they probably got rid of them by now.

Standard billiard table (no pockets) is still 5 x 10.

Na, just start a sour grapes pity-party thread. Maybe with a few appropriate videos from that Puddles the Sad Clown guy who was on America's Got Talent.

That would seem very doable @Timbre Wolf, one of these old days, if we were in the same place at the same time!

This weekend we’re in New Orleans, let me know if you’re passing thru. They do have beer here, also guitars and amps.

Well, now, I just returned last night from Bryce Canyon with my family this weekend, and it seems we missed each other by a few miles ;) Someday, my friend...

Beautiful scenery! But it could be more challenging to sit down for a beer - especially on a Sunday.
    :aok
