I passed a yard sale and a little amp caught my eye. I double back and go to check it out and it was the last thing I expected, a Silverface Princeton Reverb. I asked them how much they wanted and if it worked?

"It works but smokes a lot of you leave it on for hours, $20". I'll take it.

A new rectifier tube(maybe the source of the smoke?) and it works great. Needs a new cab though as it must have sat in a moist environment for a year or 20.

A dirty score, but a great score nonetheless!

Check the fuse if it's been smoking they probably blew a few then wrapped tin foil on one or jammed a 20 amp fuse in it.
Myself I'd be ordering a new cap can and the rest of the electrolytics right now.

But wow what a great score !

Wow - what an amazing score! $20?! That's definitely "barn find" territory.
