Fractal Forum Problems

My experience on the Fractal forum has been horrendous. If you ask a question or post an opinion, you get ridiculed or someone has a smartass comment. Anyone else having issues with that toxic forum? I know TGP has those issues as well, but the Fractal Forum is way smaller and the Fractal fanboys are getting worse and worse over there.

Sorry to hear that's been your experience. When I got my FM3 i decided I didn't have the time or desire to try and get involved with another forum outside of this one for guitar-related stuff. if I have an issue or something i need to figure out, I just google my question and usually end up either on youtube watching some instructional video or looking at an old thread there on the fractal forum where someone asked the same question. that might be a better route for you to take vs. trying to create new threads unless its really a unique issue or question no one else has ever asked/had answered.

Consistent then? Just Google what you need to know and stay away from there.

Some people like it there and some don’t. Pretty typical of a lot of things in life. I personally don’t find much value in participating there but as always YMMV.

My experience suggests that there’s a lot of narcissism on that forum, so I don’t hang out over there. TGP ain’t perfect but people are far more welcoming and helpful here.

Funny, that's what they say over there about this forum. I like both! I have a completely different view of the fractal forum. I find people to be incredibly helpful with any tips, suggestions or issues. Now if somebody goes in w. some variation of "why does this Fractal unit suck" or "why can't it be more like the Helix" or "we have 300 amps, why can't we have 350!" you can expect that's not going to go well. (Not saying that's what you did--I don't know. Just saying that short of that kind of thing I have not observed anything like what you describe).

Not at all only on the Fractal community. When I first started questioning how the auto impedance worked on Helix I thought it would be a good idea to post in the line 6 forum. I got down voted massively and got ridiculed.

Over here the same response will happen, but they are not the majority. In the Fractal or L6 forums they are the majority, so this type of behavior gets even worse.

One thing that uniquely sticks out on Fractal compared to anywhere else is that some of this toxicity comes from the top. I've seen top people, very unprofessionally, create posts throwing shade at other companies and forums.

I've never seen that anywhere else.

Cliff can be catankerous, no doubt, and yes he won't hesitate to explain his view of why his product is superior (usually backed up with charts and data). But if you say you have a bug for example, he will be on it usually in a matter of hours. Definitely good to have the inventor and company head very responsive to technical issues.
