Fractal shipping time-frames?

    For new customers going through the whole AVS thing, about how long is shipping taking? Trying to plan a delivery window.



    I'm asking for a friend... :oops:

    how long to deliver after purchase

    Depends on where you are
    My Axe3 was on my step in Canada in about 4 days

    What is AVS? I want to know if I've ever gone through it.

    Something released and in stock? SOP
    A new model yet released? Whole nother can of worms.

    Address Verification System. If the address on file with the card issuer does not match the billing address given.

    So much CC fraud nowadays it's ridiculous.

    Wouldn’t that just be the whole “Verified by Visa” or similar process for other cards portion handled by the online payment processor? If so, that takes seconds.

    My Fractal orders seem to ship same day when there’s stock, and take two days to get to my house.

    Customize the delivery with the shipping vendor. Pick it up at your convenience. Problem solved.

    Sure, I'm doing that too. Thought it would be interesting to hear what people have actually experienced too.

    Good idea. I'm assuming they ship either FedEx or UPS and not USPS?

    Actually, that is not always an option with UPS. A number of merchants that I purchase things from set an option on their end for the shipment that prevents me from having the item redirected to a UPS store or held at a UPS facility. But the funny thing is that if you miss the delivery a couple times, they will stop attempting to deliver it and hold it at the UPS facility. So I've been having the merchant ship these items to the UPS store near my house. Of course, UPS charges $5 for this service. IOW they charge you to save them money since a lot of people do it each day and the trucks go by the stores several times a day anyhow. Fedex doesn't charge for store delivery at all.

    This is true. I have never seemed to track down how the vendor can actually allow this, either. I have accounts for all the shipping vendors and try to just have items held for pickup if at all possible. I also have cell # of my FedEx guy :anon

    I had my FC-6 redirected to a Brown Store. There was no problem doing so and there was no charge for the service.

    Axe III was my first only purchase from FAS. Ordered on a Thursday received it the following Wednesday. Had to sign for it. I have had it for a month and totally dig it.

    Absolutely true! The merchant has the ability to disable any of the features like pick it up at UPS, sign for it online, change delivery date. I know the first two were disabled on my FAS order. I'm not certain but I thing the change the delivery date was also disabled.

    From what I've seen is they put a lot of effort in adding new tweaks and features which in turn can cause bugs which need to be fixed. No complaints from me but its still all new to me. I choose not to load their beta releases because I understand software dev and know the risks with beta releases. I'm thankful there are so many Axe Fx III users itching to try out all the beta releases. They help get all the issues resolved before I install the new updates on mine :)
