I just ordered a template from Acme with Fralin VinHots in the neck and mid position, and the SP43 in the bridge. Blender wiring. This is for an 08 American Standard Strat.

I cant stand the stock bridge. Stock neck and mid are ok.

Anybody else using this pickup set in their strats? What can I look forward to?

    thanks!

I have the Vintage Hots in my Ash Strat in all three positions. Absolutely love 'em. The neck and middle will have a sweet vintage tone with a nice bit of quack in between. The SP43 should a beefy P-90 type of growl. Lindy's touch is terrific. I dare say you will be well pleased.

Well, I put the VH/VH/sp43 from acme and they are absolutely awesome.
The sp43 is just killer with only a slight loss in quack.
The overdriven sound can get close to all out classic Metal.

The neck and neck/middle is brilliant.

Just a note on the highway one SSH pickups that I replaced.
The single coils are darker, higher output.
So it may not please folks who want a brighter sound.
    The overdriven tones are great.
The bridge humbucker is quite nice but lacks sustain.
Overall they have the charcteristics of a good pickup, unlike the pickups on MIM standards.

But the Fralins are another thing.:BEER

I love the VH's and SP43. I have an alder/rw Grosh coming with VH/VH/SP42 though.

    Is Acme back in business?

Is the SP43 honky in the mids? Or is EQ balanced?

I never knew they were out of it.
    Very smooth transaction with them.
    Second time ordering through them.

I would say a little bit.
But they fulfill my requirement of getting a full overdriven tone.
I have the blender too so I can mix it up a little for nice clean sound too.

Acme moved their facility to a different state and really got backlogged on their orders. At the time, they did a very poor job of communicating with their customers and they didn't keep their website updated so lots of folks were upset. Supposedly they are completely operational in their new facility and everything is back on track.

I too have had nothing but good dealings with George and hope the move allows the company to grow successfully.
