That sounds sort of similar to the "Coach" reboot that was scheduled for last year and then
    the pilot was cancelled.

In it, the little boy coach adopted in the orig. series is grown up and is also now a college
    football coach.

The team struggles, and he turns to his retired dad to join his staff and turn things around.

It was to include Dawber and most of the others, but Luther had already passed and Christine
has health issues which prevented her return.

That was the only reason I watched it. Niles was hilarious. He was the Lewis in Martin and Lewis.

I think he's pretty radioactive. Plus, he's younger than Grammer.

I was just basing it on that I think they look quite a bit alike.

I'm not opposed to the idea, but it would be a very different show. Frasier would now be 67, having possibly retired from radio and returned to psychiatry, probably divorced again. His son would be 30. I would be disappointed if they left Niles out - he steals the show with this opener:-

It might work but I fear it could fall into "Will & Grace"/Murphy Brown category of re-boots. But Grammar is such a strong comic actor (or at least was), he might be able to carry it. On of my fav Frasier episodes was the Bar Mitzah, when he had to punt and do the reading in Klingon.

I'm 7 seasons into revisiting Frasier on Netflix. Been watching a couple of episodes each night. IMHO
the genius of that show was all in the writing. And of course the casting was brilliant.

I would think that with losing John Mahoney, as well as not having the original writing crew, the end result would be a disappointing reboot that would be very short lived.

She looked pretty hot in her dominatrix lingerie on the piano episode. I knew there was some hotness under all her demure clothes. She just needed to let go. Wow!

Sidebar: If Maris were to make an appearance, who would you cast?

They can't show Maris! The descriptions kept her interesting and no one could live up to them. Then again, they could do a CGI abomination...yeah, that's just what we need lol.

We’ve been binge watching Frasier for the past two weeks. I’d forgotten most of the skits, so it was like watching for the first time. I especially enjoyed when someone would ad lib a funny line, then the other characters could not keep a straight face. Priceless!
