Frets pulling

Some of the higher frets are pulling a bit on my '79 Iceman, and the high-E string often gets caught.

Is this a DIY quick fix, or should I consult the pros?

Also, I heard that going between tunings (standard E to Standard D and vice versa) can exacerbate this.

    Ideas?

You will have to gently knock them back in and file the sharp edges back.

I would replace the frets. If they are coming out ,you can push them back but what about pushing them back changes them so they won't come out again?
Nothing the way I see it.
I'm not aware of anything that would effect this just by using different tunings.

I tried *gently* tapping them back into place with a hammer.

Had no effect. Seems theres a slight gap between the fretboard and the edges of the frets. When I get some cash, I take it to the professionals.
