A cut from "Under The Hood" w/ Art Bernstein on drums.
    Phrygian mode.
I'll dig out the tracks and make a BT mix of this tomorrow and post. Because of the bassline I'll be able to turn it into a bunch of different modal grooves to play on.
I have some midi modal grooves on my site but remembered this track and thought it might be more fun to jam on w/ real drums, bass, etc....
I'll keep posting BT's w/ different modes with these same drums and bass as I get time.
Art played such a cool groove on this. Lot's of room to kick around different rhythm's.

Love it to death, Chuck. Haven't heard enough of this style from you. I can't stop listening to it. Infectious, moody groove and tasty as always.

Loved this one! Modal sounds great when played by a master.... Shades of Hendy on this one....

I was wondering what a Hendy is, then i thought I should keep my thoughts to myself. I did figure it out ...:)

It was my bad prog joke; YYZ is instrumental number by Rush that has absolutely nothing to do with this style of music other than a brief similarity on the opening rhythmic motif.

Again, you are the man with this approach. Simply masterful...
