"Grace Under Pressure" really feels like a missing Bass Desires record.

What a fantastic chemistry Scofield and Frisell have, as two-guitar teams go.

Saw this band many times, always a real treat. I also saw another quartet which John led with Frisell, Eddie Gomez and, if I remember correctly, Al Foster. They did some of the Bass Desires material, such as Resolution. It was a looong time ago.

John Abercrombie also did some very nice stuff with Marc Johnson and Erskine. God, I just had a major flashback, must drag out my LP collection to relive my 20s! Thanks for the reminder.

They put out two CDs in this configuration that are absolute must-haves. It was technically bassist Marc Johnson's band, Bass Desires. Worth looking for.

I believe both Bass Desired cds were re released for $9.00 each on ECM last year... great discs!!!
