I have the Axis Super Sport, which is essentially the same thing as the MM EVH with a hard tail rather than Floyd trem, and I also have a MIJ Wolfgang Standard. Happy with both. I think the Music Man is a better guitar, but there are subjective and non-subjective pros and cons to both.

    Neck:
MM: raw and feels great, personally prefer this profile, but affected by humidity so expect to retune and tweak truss rod more often than normal
Wolf: slight finish and still feels good, carbon reinforcing rods so super stable, stainless steel frets
Both have somewhat narrow frets, which I like

    Body:
Both are flat cut tops like a tele, well balanced, and are comfortable.

    Tone:
MM: I prefer these pickups, YMMV. They clean up amazingly well and for me have the right amount of gain and eq curve. They also sound great with various gain levels / amps.
Wolf: Had to adjust to this guitar's tone. The pickups feel hotter and don't clean up as well with very pronounced mids. The volume pot is 250k which creates a different high end. High gain specialist pickups, IMO.

    Quality:
    MM: very well built
Wolf: high quality, but slight QC issues for me

Overall, the MM is a great rock guitar and surprisingly flexible, the Wolfgang is a full on hard rock / lead machine.

In my personal opinion, you can not beat the EBMM Axis.. Slightly different than the EBMM EVH signature model but a Truly Great Guitar. But, again in my own personal opinion, it is hands down a better guitar than the Wolfgang.. For myself anyway.. Because everybody is different and have different tastes..

I have played all the Wolfgang models and still own both EBMM models.. '91 EVH and '02 Axis.. They are my "go to" guitars out of all the guitars I own.. I absolutely love both of them..
