Elmwood Modena M90 head. $1475. Also looking for a trade + cash for a Bogner Shiva 20th, but perhaps other high gain channel switchers with really good cleans. Not interested in Mesa amps -- great amps just not tonally what I'm looking for.

The Modena M90 is 90 watts, 12AX7 preamp tubes, KT-88 power tubes. The KT-88s produce chimey cleans to gritty bluesy tones. The dirty channel goes from a Marshally clean to liquid metal fire. Each channel has adjustable drive/gain and boost levels and separate Bass/Mid/Treble EQ sections. Edge (Presence) and Fat (midrange adjust) controls on the back interact with the front EQ to provide an incredible amount of tonal options. The Master1 and Master2 master volume controls provide the extra kick needed to jump out front for solos, but they also let the amp's tones come through even at bedroom levels. The configurable combinations essentially give you a 4-channel amp, with additional volume boost capability. Series/Parallel effects loop with adjustable mix for parallel.

The amp and footswitch both function flawlessly. All knobs operate smoothly with no crackle. There are minor scuff marks in various places, mostly on the corner guards. The tolex has a couple of small slits along the front left face edge. There is a scratch on the face of the Master 2 knob, but it can easily be swapped with a knob on the back if desired. The front plexiglass faceplate has a minor crack near the power switch. The lower right corner of the back faceplate has a 1/4" chip missing. The outside sheath surrounding the cable leading into the footswitch connector plug is separated at the entry point into the connector but the inside insulated wires are fine and have no issues. Footswitch, footswitch cable, and power cable included.

This amp is tight, responsive, and clear even on the highest gain settings.

Check out the clips on youtube for a variety of tonal options.

The amp is approx. 38 lbs before packaging/shipping.

I sold my Shiva and bought this M90 both on TGP back in 2011, and have 56 100% positive feedback on eBay.
