Epiphone ES-295 w/ OHSC - $799 shipped!

Hi everyone,
The sell my stuff to repair my basement sale continues!

Today I have for you my Epiphone ES-295. This was made at the Peerless plant in Korea in 1999. It is a *beautiful* looking and sounding guitar and is in excellent condition overall. The body looks wonderful with the exception of a small bonk under the lower horn (see the photo) and there are a few small nicks in the binding here and there which was really hard to photograph. Neck is straight and the frets are in great condition too.

I am not the original owner and there have been some modifications to the guitar over the years, all of them positive (in my opinion) but if you're a purist, this guitar is not for you. That said, I love it. Warm when you need it, angry when you want it. It's a fun guitar to play. VERY resonant and loud unplugged. Bigsby works well (as long as you're not dive bombing, LOL) and stays in tune.

It's not perfect and it's maybe more of a player than a museum piece but take a look at all the photos and decide for yourself. Used but never abused. Loved and respected! I always wanted one of these but there was no way I could afford one of the Gibson Custom shop models!

The details:

  • New Wolfetone P-90 pickups ("Mean" and "Meaner"), originals are included
  • Upgraded wiring, pots and switch
  • Lollar pickup shims to bring them to the correct height
  • Sperzel locking tuners (originals are gone)
  • Tune-O-Matic bridge
  • Bone nut
  • Original well used hardshell case

"The Epiphone ES-295 Electric Guitar with Bigsby vibrato is the ultimate rockabilly box. It's based on the famous Gibson ES-295 introduced in 1952 and played by the legendary Scotty Moore, Elvis Presley's guitarist. Features a pair of cream P-90s, a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, 24-3/4" scale, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, laminated maple body and top. As a finishing touch, it's adorned with the original flower design on the pickguard."

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions - thanks for looking!
