With Scott always playing and posting his smooth fusion clips ;) I thought I would plug in and show how nasty these bad boys can get! Many guys think the Dumble amps are mostly for Fuzoid Carlton and Ford geeks like myself! Lol! These amps can ROCK!! I plugged my LP 58 Historic  straight in, flipped on the bright switch, and played the first thing that came to mind. Its a Joe Walsh tune that I cant remember the name of. Funk 69 maybe?

Well, then at the end of a few chords, I just turn down the volume, and you can hear how well the thing clears up with just the volume knob. I am playing at a pretty low volume, and there is no cap on the Paul to keep the treble up, so keep that in mind.
I am using an SM 57 miced STRAIGHT into the middle of a G12h30. Ill post a pic in a little while. Andy and Scott have done a WICKED job on this amp. Everyone should have one of these!
Check out the top clip here, and turn it UP!!.... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=121826

I like it a little darker and heavier, but a great clip nonetheless...

    Sounds great, Tag......

...but ending "Funk 49" with that wussy, lounge chord at 1:17 is just WRONG!!! You will be punished by the "Lord of All Heads That Bang"!!

    :D

    Hey Tag.

Nice clip - allways nice to hear what "other" types of sounds the Fuchs is able to do.
I am currently waiting for a new Fuchs ODS50 with 2x12 cab.
Can't wait to strum some chords on it...

You got a lot of nice soundclips..

Is it possible that you would share some of your backing tracks ?

I am really looking for nice blues backing tracks to rehearse over.
I really like the backing track you have at the clip called "slow jazz" at your soundclips site.

    Hey Rick!
The brightness is from it being miced dead center in the cone. I have been meaning to move the mic to the edge, and have forgotten to do so. Every clip of the Fuchs I have posted has been with the mic pointed dead center. The trone will get even better when I move it! :dude

I thought Scott played jazz. ;)

Just kidding! Let's not go there.

    Seriously, sounds great, Tag.

Cleaning up is what these amps are all about, to me.

Tag, I thought that that might be the case when you described the mic position in your original post. It's amazing how much just a slight change in positioning can make a huge difference.

Nice tone Tag! I like every clip you've posted with that amp. The Fuchs ODS has some cool classic rock tones on tap!

Tag, LOVE that SLX clip! :dude

It's strange to hear you do classic rock riffs instead of the jazz runs :D it's refreshing to see a popular amp in a different light, so thanks for posting it :)
