Fulltone 70 fuzz internal trimmer

    What does the internal trim/dial on the Fulltone 70 Fuzz accomplish?

    Im thinking its a gain pot.. i recently had one. adjusting it made a huge difference.very tame fuzzface-ish into fullblown almost fuzz factory territory.

    I think it may be a bias pot. Just e-mail Fulltone and ask, they usually have good customer service.

    It's a bias pot.

    adjust until it sounds right to you.

    It's a bias pot that adjust the current sent to the second transistor. You can adjust it by ear, or if you have a multimeter you can use that. You want to put the probes on the base and collector of the second transitor, and adjust the pot until you get 4.5 volts. Anything between 4.5 and 5 is fine, and some people even like it higher.
