Can't find a single Fulltone pedal review on Harmony Central as of this morning. What's up with that?

Yeah there is something going on over there. Yesterday I went to look at Moollon pedal reviews and they are gone too.

Damn...I should have known.

Probably do no good, but if they mess that up I will never buy another thing from them.

That's going to be a REAL shame if they start dictating what reviews they will post based on what brands Musicians Friend carries. I take all of HC's reviews with a grain of salt, but it is an invaluable data base, and a great place to start when looking for products that one isn't familar with.
To just delete ALL that info without saving it somewhere that's still accessable is, well, crap.

Yeah...it really is. It's the corporate greed coming home to roost again. Anything that doesn't boost OUR sales is out.

Wait and see if a more subtle thing happens, and if bad reviews for products they carry start disappearing, or if the "totals" on top match up with the average of all the reviews.

Write the bastards (if you care...any here that liked HC) and let them know you'll boycott them for this if they don't leave it alone. Might not help, but it could at least stand a chance of making them think twice.

Please...tell it to them!

Musicians "friend"...what kind of friend hides good information you are looking for just because THEY don't carry it?

I looked on the HC Forum (I'm not a member) and they are confused, though some openly wonder about if Fulltone asked them to pull it. That doesn't make any sense...for one I don't think they CAN demand to be pulled...you can discuss anything about products for sale, for the other, he knows he gets business from there.

On top of that, as was mentioned here, at least one other has been pulled (Moolon?), and that can't be coincidence.

Extra burn is...lots of us have spent time and energy writing reviews there. I wonder then, since I wrote reviews under the old company, can I demand all my reviews get pulled?

Fulltone's gone but there are many others still there that MF doesn't sell. There must be something else going on.

I wonder if it might just be a temporary thing, what with all of the re-vamping of web pages and format over there lately... ??

Exactly... some people are way too paranoid. Probably a glitch or something to do with the revamping of the website.

There's still a link to the (now missing) HC Reviews on Fulltone's website. If it was a dispute, I bet Fulltone would have yanked the link. Probably just a glitch...

Yeah...cause, you know, that isn't like something a huge corporation would ever even think to do...right?

Cause, they don't really think about sales, they are all for democracy and giving out information on things they don't even sell.

They may be floating this "glitch" to see if it flies.

And it has gone way too long to just be a glitch. Unless they accidentally deleted all fulltone reviews (which means incompetent to the utmost) it takes all of a minute to link up again and have them back in there. How long has it been now?

No...this is not glitch.

No glitch IMO...

Doesn't really matter to me, HC hasn't been nearly the comprehensive resource that TGP has been for me.

Same here! TGP is a much better place than HC which in my opinion went down hill a couple of years ago!

I don't get you guys. They are two different tools.
And very different in their value.

This is a great place to log on, and ask "what is a good tremolo for me" and get up to date suggestions, good suggestions.

You can even do a search on a product and see what people have said.

But I have NEVER seen (and I've looked) the kind of comprehensive, in depth kind of info that can be found on some pedals, amps, guitars as when a person reviews it. And on some pedlas they had 100's of reviews, and it accumulated over time. It was a great resource when used wisely, and I have gotten an incredible amount of tips and insights into getting the most out of my pedals there. Things you wouldn't think to even think about...things like "there is a pot inside that controls the tone" or "if you plug a dummy plug in the one speaker out, you can use the other as..."

It just was all there, nicely arranged without having to search.

Problems with searches here...some folks list their equipment in their sigs, look for that equipment and you'll get a hit on every post (most having nothing to do with what you are looking for) they made.

There, you go to the unit, if there are reviews, you browse them.

I have not found any other site that can offer that, and these guys are now in the process of corrupting it.

Again, when I wrote reviews, I never would have if I thought they would take away the ones some damn company didn't carry (and what do you want to bet they save them, in case they carry it later?) .

I think it stinks. This site is great, but it is not User Review dedicated.

you are ABSOLUTELY correct.. HC didn't pull Fulltone reviews because of MF not carrying them!!! GEEZ, there's 100 other companies with reviews still up that MF doesn't carry!!! ERIC

That's faulty logic. They MAY not have pulled them bacause they don't carry them, but reasoning that because they (so far) kept others up they don't carry, proves exactly nothing.

It MAY be that Fullton requested or ordered them to pull it. I don't know yet. I imagine we'll find out soon.

If they DID just drop them, they better also then start removing any reference in other pedal reviews mentioning "I liked this one better than fulltones'" because by dropping fulltone they dropped a helluva lot of the opposite comments.

Either way, this stinks.
