    Hej,

Yeah! How about that? I felt like doing a little right hand practising so I wrote this little ditty.

    Friday Mixed

    Opinions appreciated!

I have a server space issue right now, but if anybody would like the backing track to jam along with I'll try to post it.

    Cheers,

    Mats N

I love it!!! Makes my whole body happy. :D

Yes, please post the backing. No way I can add the kind of energy you did, but it sure would be fun to try. Great stuff, Journo!

    Hi Normster,

You are quite possibly the most encouraging and positive person on the entire Internet :D

I have cleaned out server space so here's the BT as per your request.

    Friday Mixed Backing Track

Hope you have fun with it!

    Cheers,

    Hej Rid,

Glad you liked it. I enjoyed recording it but for a positive vibe I really had more fun with the Space Groove Boogie I posted here a few days ago.

    Cheers,

    Mats N

What's your setup for the guitars? Specifically the rhythm guitar?

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for taking your time to listen.

I'd be happy to answer your question. Please be aware however that english is not my native language and thus my answer may not be the one you want. If so, please don't hesitate to ask again.

When you ask about setup for the guitars I assume that you want to know about what equipment I used when recording them.

Since approximately two years back I record my guitars and my bass using the Boss GS-10 which I find to be the modeler that to my taste best captures the sound and feel of a guitar amp when recording direct. Sometimes (but rarely) I use a Zoom PD-01 booster or a Ibanez reissue TS-9 in front of it. In this tune I only used the GS-10.

The clean rythm guitar used the Warm Clean Amp model with a slight bit of compression. The guitar was a Suhr Classic with the bridge-mid pu combination stringed with D'Addario 0.10. Reverb and delay added in Cubase SX during the mixdown process.

The lead sounds used the same amp model but obviously with more gain and different setting for the tone controls. The pitch sifter in the second verse was set to -5 semitones and a mix of 80 (out of 100). Reverb and delay added in the mix. Same Suhr Classic but here I used the bridge pickup with tone rolled off to about 8.

    Cheers,

    Mats N
