I currently have a thread with a WTB prefix (Want To Buy). It's quite specific. "WTB : Metropoulos (Metro Amps) JTM45 and Super Lead." Yet, there are 33 people who viewed the ad and I don't have a single offer.

So what's the point of viewing an ad like this, then? Gave me a chuckle to see the view count rise so quickly when there's no ambiguity about what I'm asking, yet zero offers.

All 33 of us are still deciding if you're worthy.

They probably want to see if you're offer is sufficiently enticing to pry their amp from them. :)

    LOL!!!!

    *your. Just teasing, bud! ;)

Simply asked people to let me know their price. No limit. Just waiting for offers to roll in. I had to chuckle when I saw the thread view. What's the point in clicking on that thread title unless you want to send an offer in?

    Yes, I'm easily entertained. :)

I didn't look (I'm not in the market for an amp), but I check out ads for stuff that I'm not familiar with.

How many people just click on pages for lack of anything better to do? That's how I got to this thread.

I think it's a combination of all the suggestions above.

One thing that REALLY sucks though is when someone unfamiliar with what you are after gets interested, then goes and Youtube's the demo, then you see another WTB right above yours for the same thing...

    Had that happen twice.
