I was looking for a good power strip to plug in my Voicelive 2, Pedal Power 2, various adapters and whatnot, all to sit in my humongo board, and found this:

It came in today, and wow it is huge and about 5 freaking pounds.

Is there a better strip solution that offers strong protection and conditioning?

I might catch crap for this but... there's honestly very little difference between the surge strips you can get at Home Depot/Lowes and that strip from Furman. Really... not much at all. That being said I use a Furman RP-8D now because I have a couple of rack units. Almost everything is plugged into it except my amps. But on the back of my pedalboard is a standard $25 Monster Cable surge protector. Nothing fancy really. It's worked excellent so far and does exactly what I want it to, without fail, every time I play. Plenty of power.

Yep, but the gear geek in me read the specs and got randy.
It's not the average power strip, but you pay for it in size and weight.
