I just picked one up, no complaints here. It took me a while to figure everything out, especially using pedals with the fx loop on my amp, but in the end its quiet, its convenient, and its protected. This, of course, is assuming you can get over the price. It took me a while to do that.

Any off the ones I have seen are under 400.00. Music Toyz, G.C. etc. Considering the fact that we both probably have pedals on there that cost more each than the board, it should not shock us. Either that or we are both nuts!!!!:crazyguy:NUTS

Try SKB PS-45 .... same board, same power supply, much cheaper. No wheels though. Had mine for a few years, great board.

Might not be *exactly* the same, as the spb8c has isolated, regulated, grounded outlets, a detachable power cord, and an on/off switch.

IMO, Furman makes the best powered boards out there.
They might be too small for some people, but they keep my pedals in check.
The isolated power supplies, the detachable power cable and on/off switch, and the 3 outlets make it very handy.
I've had to plug my amp into the Furman before...NO PROBLEMS.
Their customer support is wonderful too.

I bought the SPB-8C after owning the SPB-8 for years and years.
The hardcase and isolated outputs are welcome additions.
