    PS:Sorry for the clipn'spam as of recent-Im on a
self-imposed writing hiatus-(its the only way I can learn the stuff I've already written for my gig.)
    So I'm re-hashing older stuff.

john, I am writing while listen it...in a certain way my words are coming on fly inspired by, I enjoy a lot this kind of deep sense ballads, reminding me of Brecker, Stern, Robben Ford, UZEB and Jean Marie Ecay´s exquisite fusion band. Cool guitar solo John! you really know how exploit a clean tone with elegance, what guitar is there?. ah..yes, nice playing from band mates too. great John...thank you!

    Carlos

PS: John, In 1999 I play the guitar in Claronade, a CD of the amazing jazz pianist Virgilio Armas (Venezuela), this is a excerpt from a track of Virgilio very atmospheric and freely song 'Kyakutake'.., I don´t know why, but I feel some identification with your playing in that track . please, listen it .. http://www.carlosarellano.com/music2/Kyakutake.mp3
(the guitar is a old 1970 Ovation, recorded with a AKG 414 condenser mic blended with piezo pickup sound from guitar)

Hi Carlos!-great changes on your track!Lovely soloing!
Ya my aproach AND sound was similar-a glassy-ghost sound!!
-I was using an Ibanez Roadstar[yechh!]-with EMG somethings[?]-
-the box i mentioned was a Roland guitar FX box-[?]
I only used it becuz i really didnt have an amp with clean headroom at the time.

--very similar vibe to what i was doing-
the key center shifts ALOT in both songs !
I remember always really on edge with the changes-
however Im more relaxed these days-so it might not bug me as much.[lol!]

Thanks much for listening & sharing-way too cool!

    Hi John,

I actually think that was a very appropriate sound for the tune and nothing at all to apologize for.
The tune itself was really quite beautiful.

    Cheers,

    Thanks guys-!

    journo -thanks-yer too (tonally) kind!
However I guess the tone "concept" is a good fit.
Just wish it had more analogness-es....:)

it was one of those Roland boxes it had a bit of that early digital sound-
i think it was done in 90/91[?]-

John... that's a beautful sound worth using over & over again..

Funny how EMG single coils are so underated, as they work so beautifully with effects... just unbeatable for a soulful pristine~clean tone without breakup ...

Of course, it takes a good player like John to make them sing,,,:)
