I don’t necessarily have a suggestion for a collaboration but, since Joel said he’s listening, I’d really like to see him do a PLL.

That said; several in this thread have mentioned Montreal Assembly.... maybe CBA treated PurPLL?

So how far are they on the Preamp MKII Automatone?
Really excited to see more from this.

No doubt. I love my Benson preamp. Excited to see the outcome of this pedal for sure.

i was watching some videos of the Fairfield Randy's Revenge ringmod pedal...

A Chase Bliss Ring Mod pedal made in collaboration with Fairfield would be sooooo DOPE...

When the CBA Brothers pedal first came out I mentioned that I’d love to see future collaborations with Basic Audio and Spaceman. I still would love to see that.

I’d love to see a CBA pedal that combined a preamp and a modulated delay (like the famous 80’s rack delays).

We are getting there. Motor control has been a real doozy. We feel good about the 4 prototypes we have but next step is to make sure our code works with like 100 motor fader panels. The variability (friction, etc) from slider to slider is pretty wide so we have to make sure we account for all that. Honestly I thought it'd be out by now a few months ago, but just really have to make sure we get it right.

    Patience is key!
No matter how long it will take, it's gonna be awesome, I'm sure of it.

Well, anything that's not a 1-trick pony, something that has lots of cool sounds inside could benefit from the Chase Bliss treatment to add presets, ramping, and combining with other things.
If you think about it, the potential is enormous.

I asked @chaseblissaudio multiple times for a mutronics mutator in his format, but he said no. :(

I think rare to find stuff would make sense, like the lovetone suggestion.
Also, something like a ehx microsynth, analog octaver, synth, fuzz thingy with presets would keep me quiet for a long time. :D

Fairfield (particularly a ring mod) and Caroline would be my choices

The recent pedals that have put FV1 programs into the Chase Bliss format have been a killer evolution on that platform that otherwise does not easily allow for presets or MIDI. Plenty of builders doing really compelling work on that platform and a few have been mentioned here.
    • Pladask Elektrisk does a really unique mix of time stretching and granular manipulation effects that would get along well in the Chase Bliss architecture. Especially with ramping.
    • MASF out of Japan also makes a handful of effects that use the FV1 in unique ways to process microloops.
    • Bananana Effects is similar to MASF and has a lot of great FV1-based designs.
Outside of FV1 options, Austin Lightfoot, formerly of Lightfoot Labs and now an engineer at Malekko, has a lot of interesting approaches to programming and processing that have led to unique effects. It would be cool to see more of his ideas out in the world.

I’ve been thinking hard about this. I hate to be unoriginal, but another release of the AYAHUASCA collaboration would be pretty awesome... Unless the fuzz circuit will be the same one that is in the upcoming Automatone.

    My dream list:

    1. Red Panda Bitmap with Chase Bliss controls/presets would be awesome

    2. A dual compressor pedal with a transparentish side (Empress?) and a more colored side (Fairfield/Bondi/Analogman/Cali?)--Perhaps with some boost/eq/freeze magic built-in

3.EHX Attack Decay in an Automatone format

    4. Fuzz pedal collaborations with Spiral Electric or Smallsound/Bigsound or DBA or Earthquaker

    5. A dedicated "noise" filterbank pedal with Lastgasp Laboratory expanding on their Sandstorm pedal

    6. Something based on the Crowther Audio pedals (Prunes & Custard/Hot Cake)

I vote no one. I’ve blown way too much money on CBA pedals lately.

I think Simon the Magpie would be a good fit with Chase Bliss.
