I just saw the Live at Montreux in 2005 dvd and Skip Pitts is throwin' it down
like a guitar god, which, btw, he is. Anyone have the scoop on what kind of fuzz he might be using? It's nasally and articulate. Maybe a Fulltone of some sort. That golden era of fuzzy soul-pop is a favorite of mine. While we're at it, I'd be happy to get schooled on wahs and fuzzes from that period for players like Mr. Pitts, Ernine Isley, Dennis Coffey, etc. and what folks are using today for that sound.
Fuzz on!
