G&L alnicos?

    Anyone try the ASAT Classic alnico pickups. Can you compare them to, say, a particular Seymour Duncan as a point of reference?

    Loved them, sounded like a Fender Nocaster pickup to me.

    I really like their CLF-100 alnico 5 strat (Legacy) pups also.

    not really clear here, these are essentially vintage-style strat or tele pickups? normal alnico slug poles with the wire wrapped around them?

    i associate "ASAT" pickups with the adjustable steel poles and bar magnets on the bottom.

    Yes, a fairly recent alternative to their MFDs.
