I have one and it's been on my board for at least 5 years. It is a great sounding overdrive, I did the LED mod on mine.

Hi Luke, what is the LED Mod, I am not familiar with that? FYI, my pedal is a newer type that only has the 2 LED's, I believe they removed the one that used to be in the centre position because some users got confused by the switching?

Or are you refering to a mod to change the clipping?

No the LED mod was to make it easier to tell if the pedal is on/off. It was confusing, I think the yellow LED was always lit. The red and blue LED would change when in drive or boost modes. I did it a long time ago, it was on their site but looking just now I don't it. I'm surprised that this pedal doesn't get much talk here.

Yeah I had a Creamtone and G2D Custom Overdrive... the main status LED was on when the pedal was bypassed and then turned OFF when the pedal was engaged. No idea why.

There's a popular misconception that our toilets flush and swirl in the reverse direction down here - and wiring our pedal status indicators in reverse does little to dispell these myths about us being a bit... backwards :D

Anyway G2D make quite amazing stuff down here!

Have to agree mate, NZers know how to turn out some great Overdrives, it can't be just down to coincidence that my other favorite dirt pedal is a Hotcake.

Thought I'd bump this to see if any other owners had missed it.

Hard to believe only 2 other players currently reading TGP using/used this great pedal? :huh

Have one myself, it is on my board right now. Really dig it! Have had it for a few years! I'm an overdrive addict, so the cream tone is in my regular rotation of overdrives that rotate in and out of my boards!

I have wanted a Cream-Tone for years (I am a Fulldrive user for years), but just haven't gotten around to it. This year.

Thought I'd bump this to see if anyone else has come on-board in the last few months, I posted a thread over at the Tele forum, "G2D Pedal owners" over a year ago, I bumped that thread 3 times over that time and got Zero replies. :horse It's a bit odd that the G2D pedals are so low on many guitarists RADAR considering how much $$$ people blow on pedals supposedly chasing great OD tone. :huh

How does it compare to a KOT. From the demos, the creamtone seems to be more in the tubescreamer camp...is that an accurate assessment?

I got mine direct from G2D, good communication from Dave and Grant as well, I remember emailing them back and forth with some questions and they got back to me real quick, very customer friendly and great to deal with.

Lack of exposure.

I think that's just do to their extremely limited distribution. The ONLY online source for purchase I have ever seen (besides G2D themselves) is MusicToyz. And MT has a so-so reputation with selling things they don't have in stock, non-responsive to emails, etc..... I had an experience where I decided I wouldn't by from them again.

I troll ebay for the Cream-Tone, but I would want one of the newer ones, with the upgraded features. When I do buy one, it'll be directly from the manufacturer, I imagine.

Get in touch with Grant and Dave direct. They are great guys.

I still have a classic, and owned a cream tone many years ago. The one I owned was a very early one and it had a fat, a more Ford/Carlton sound. Those early ones would give a zendrive a run for its money methinks.
