GA SC64 For Deluxe Reverb Question

The GA-SC64 speaker is a favorite for many Deluxe Reverb players. Here's the question: Do you prefer it with the bright cap clipped or with it in the circuit? My DR is a totally different amp with the bright cap in the circuit compared to when it is lifted. Thoughts?

I have my bright cap on a switch, it sounds good both ways, depending on what I’m after.

No idea. I cut that sucker out of my amp years ago. It really only matters at low volume anyway.

I have the GA-SC64 in my 66 DR, but cut the bright cap before I had put it in. To me the high end sounds perfect without it, but I imagine that, because the GA speaker is slightly warmer on the high end than many of the common DR replacement speakers, it could also handle the bright cap better as well.
