Just picked up a Barber/Clark Gainster and am wondering where that internal pot is normally set, or from the factory?

    Thanks!

I'm starting to assume it's just 'noon' after playing around with it for a while, but am still curious.

Alternately, curious where people dial theirs in too!

I had one as well as a Big box version at the same time. I set it to match the tone of the big one. IIRC it was around 9:00.

I just got a Barber version in the mail today. I don't know why I got it since it wasn't what I was after but it really is a great OD. I had to get used to how pick sensitive it is. Been awhile since I've had one that good with dynamics. I'm liking the bass knob pretty well close to maxed out with My Strat.

I like mine set with the bass maxed out.

Can you provide a tonal comparison between the Clark Big Box and the Barber version?
