    One of my biggest influences.
The great thing about Gary was that he put everything he had into each note he played.
He had so much more music in him that we will never hear. Such an incredible loss.

Cant believe it's been 4 years! Seeing him in the 'Emerald Aisles' documentary on tv when I was a teenager was the reason I wanted to play guitar. Gone far too soon.

Not too far from Mike Bloomfield on my list of people who define the instrument for me.

One of my all time favorite guitarists. I wish I had a teeny tiny fraction of his talent.

I had the pleasure of building him an amplifier in 2007, but I never had the pleasure of hearing him play it. :(

GM had soul; fire; technique and taste.
One of the best/influential guitarists in my life.

One of my favorite too. Merciless with a guitar in his hands.

Yep, Gary was one of the greats. I particularly love his version of Jimi's Red House here.

My only criticism would be that he seemed to lack a bit of passion in this one.. ;-)

It's nice that JM did the tribute to another guitar player while he was still alive also. Never hesitate to tell someone you appreciate them while you can. You never know..
