I caught this British Queen tribute act last night, they were pretty damn good. Singer has Freddie's mannerisms and moves down perfectly, and had nearly the vocal range of Freddie. Guitar player was fantastic, if a bit "shreddy." He had a proper Red Special, he played what looked like a custom shop 1960's strat on the neck pickup on the solo to Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and he played a Taylor 355ce Jumbo 12 string on the acoustic numbers. For amps, he had a dual rack-mounted setup, some kind of preamps and power amps, running into a pair of Marshall 4x12's. I imagine it was some kind of digital preamp, but his tones were spot on. Very saturated distortion tones.

    Anyone else caught these guys?
