OK Folks, here is the deal; I've been listening to a lot of night ranger recently and and have been bit by the super strat w/ floyd thing. I currently own a few super strats; TA drop Top, Suhr Classic & Charvel CS v-Trem. But none with a floyd rose.

So I what's your opinion; Should I get me a floyd guitar?or should I stay away from floyds?

I have a good friend offering me a 90's Valley Arts with floyd I might want to take that route. Have any of you tried Vigier's I saw a few here in TGP that got my attention, but again the one I like (SL model) does not have a floyd.

I guess I want to get a general consensus about what you guys are doing about super strats now a days here in TGP.

Cheers!

Hit the pawn shops. Seems like around here, every pawn shop in town has a few Super Strats with buckers and a Floyd.

I've had tons of superstrats over the years. I have three left:
1987 Kramer Stagemaster Deluxe. Never play it but it was my first real good guitar so it isnt going anywhere.
1994 Hamer USA Diablo. Amazing player. I'll put it up against the best Suhr or TA has to offer.
2009 Jackson PC-1. Gift from my wife and heavily modified by me. Just started using it live...

Try and get something with a real Original Floyd Rose, or Licensed bridge made by Gotoh. Suhr uses Gotoh, TA uses OFR...

Why do you need a Floyd? Tuning issues? Dive bombs? Don't get one just for looks, they really don't look that great (but way better than the Kahler I had in the '80s).:JAM

Could you post a pic of the Kramer? I had an '87 Stagemaster Deluxe that I stupidly sold in 2006. :(

I want a floyd to get crazy on the guitar and have fun with it. Ah I forgot to mention that I have also a NY ESP Mirage Deluxe. It has a floyd like tremolo...but it looks are way too "metal".

I am not a floyd guy, but that VA guitar would be tempting if I were and that's what I wanted.
