    Hypothetical bar gig:

You're subbing as "Johnny" in a Ramones cover band. What gear would you bring? It doesn't necessarily have gear you own.

Mosrite through a 2203 is pretty much it, a Strat if a Mosrite can't be had.

A DiPinto Mach IV will do in a pinch, but might prove as hard to come by as a real Moserite.

I'd mostly be worried about my right arm doing all those downstrokes. He had some crazy strength.

    As a slight alternative:

EBMM Sting Ray (in ivory white) into an Orange Rocker 30.

I always liked the Ramones. But it wasn't until I saw them live in a small place that I realized what a good guitar player Johnny was. Seeing him play with such sustained power and conviction over the entire set was really impressive. By power I don't mean loud. Though they were loud!
