Mine arrived on Tuesday. Preordered thru Amazon with a pretty big discount a couple of months ago.
It's a staggering piece of work. Interesting how he didn't really start "collecting" until about 8 years ago. He's made up for lost time pretty well-there are some amazing pieces in there.

    Funny

Had he started collecting when Rush started making money around 1980, he'd have had his collection at <10% of what he probably paid.

I think I might have to treat myself sometime. I loved his Wal tone. He's the reason they're on my bucket list, although the high tag is why I don't have one.

Can't find them used, and a 2 year wait at a minimum of $7000. I always wanted one as well but that's a lottery win away.

Yup. It's too bad nobody makes electronics that come close. At least with a company like Fodera, you can get the pickups and electronics.

This little jewel won't turn your Squier into a Wal, but a filter preamp is an amazing little gadget.

Here's a nice half hour interview from CBC's "Q" with him on his book and bass obsession.

That's a start. Still need the quad coils that are basically sideways compared to most normal pickups.

Got this book for Christmas and it weighs about as much as a CBS jazz bass. Some very nice photos of his Wal basses but now we know owns all the custom color fender basses. The Man is obsessed.

Nice to see him on the cover of Vintage Guitar. Who'd a thunk he would become a vintage guitar collector.
