So, Genz Benz has new "little" amps out- the 6.0 & 3.0 Shuttles.
    6.0- tube pre, 600 watts, 3.75lbs.
    3.0 - all SS , 300 watts and 3 lbs.

    I have a Genz 1200 & 212 as well as a shuttle 6.0/112 combo coming.

Over on another very poorly bass forum the hot word is they are going to kick Markbass's LMII off the map.

So, I thought I'd pop in over here and see if any word from you guys.

I haven't played one but if it's anywhere near as nice as my GBE 1200 then they'll be fine amps. Talkbass seems to love them.

Man, those sound great and are very versatile. I played one today and really liked it. I recently bought the little Eden wtx260, and from the playing I did today on the GB, it really impressed me just as much as the Eden, which I love.

I have a GBE750 that I absolutely love. I've not had a chance yet to spend quality time with a shuttle, but from what I've read, I want one! :)

These things are so light, anyone had an issue pulling it off the cabinet with bass cord? Anyone anchoring them to the cabinet?

The cabs of the combos have a built-in "rack-ette" that the heads slides into to prevent inadvertent "drop-testing". For what they weigh, I'm thinking velcro pads would be a near-necessity on other cabs.

I love my LMII, but would love to try the 6.0...

I got a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 10T yesterday and used it on a restaurant gig last night. It got the job done. I was surprised how much sound can come out of one of those.

I have sold several of the 3.0 and the 6.0...they sound amazing...lots of power and lots of nice round tones.

    The weight...or lack thereof...is a huge bonus.

I hate to redirect but talkbass.com has some serious love for them. There is at least one mega-thread.

I've been gigging my Shuttle 6.0 & the Genz NEOX 112 (as well as a NEOX 212) for a little while now.

It's flat out amazing how good the thing sounds.

It's funny seeing that little head on top of the 212 and the sound just POUNDING from that cab.

You would swear that there was a big ol' leadsled amp sitting there. But then you see a little box thats smaller than my tube DI doing all the work!

Sorry for the El Crappo picture but here's my Shuttle 6.0 sitting on top of my Ampeg SVT-VR and Genz-Benz NeoX 212T. It is a wonderful sounding little amp. It works like magic with my Gretsch G6072! You can really hear the wood in that bass through the Shuttle and NeoX. I was just floored and how wonderful they sound together!

The shuttle's been out for a while and I haven't seen any evidence it's kicking markbass' ass.

I got to try the 6.0 through an 8x10" and I was kind of disappointed in the output. It was certainly loud, but not as loud as I expected.

I had heard that as well. The Markbass LMII is the loudest amp I've ever played through. It has way more volume than the iAmp 800 though it's rated for way less...
