How many (excluding the BYOC based - weekend warrior type) are there? Some that I can think of are not EXACT clones per say - tweaked versions of the original. I can think of a few. But how many are actually good? I can think of a few that are REALLY good! Don't get me wrong - I know there are a lot - but I haven't tried them all. I want to compile a list of Germanium Arbiter Fuzz Face Clones.

Add to the list if you can think of any:

    Analog.Man Sunface (Std. & NKT275)
    MJM London Fuzz
    Euthymia Crucible Ge Fuzz
Baja Tech Custom Das Fuzz (Ge)
    Fulltone '69 (Discontinued)
Diaz Texas Square Face (Comes with NPN Germs but can do Silicon)
    ThroBak Fuzz Haze
Dunlop Fuzz Face (The Red one - Not sure if considered a clone since they own the name )
    Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz
Prescription Electronics Face Lift (Ge) - granted it can do Octavia also)
    Hartman Germanium Fuzz
    Sweetsound Monterey Fuzz

    What else?

That "weekend warrior" comment about BYOC is a little off-putting. They are pretty serious about their stuff and after building a couple of their kits, I am very satisfied.

The Electo-Harmonix Germanium OD has my attention. Price is pretty reasonable too.

+1 on that! My BYOC tremolo sits nicely on my pedalboard along side my analogman, foxrox, ZVex, EH and Teese... and sounds as good or better than just about any other tremolo I've ever tried.

Also, I just built two different version GGG Big Muff clone kits (triangle and green russian) that have completely blown me away! I'm about to help a friend with his BYOC Germ FuzzFace so I plan to put that up against the SunFace side of my analogman SunLion and my Dunlop JH-F1, and while I don't expect it to sounds better than the Analogman, I'm very confident it will hold it's own... more on that soon.

The BYOC is more so related to not being a company. I love my BYOC stuff too - so no offense to you builders. I'm one of them. I was just curious to what companies out there have a germanium Fuzz Face derivative.

I'm not too sure if this qualifies as a fuzz face circuit or not, but I really dig my Tonefactor Hellbilly.

MI Audio Neo Fuzz. I think it has a fuzz face circuit with more knobs but I could be wrong.

So the advertisement in Guitar Player is advertising a product released by a...? Seems like a company to me, and it deserves listing as the ESV knocked a few of the fuzzes listed here out of my collection.
