Germino Classic 45...can it give me Tweed Bassman vibe with the right setup?

Hello all,

I'm really enjoying my Germino Classic 45 head into an oversized closed-back 2x12 Mojotone cabinet with a Celestion Blue and a Heritage G12M. Swap in EL34s, a SS rectifer, rebias, and I'm getting close to JMP feel. Leave it stock with KT-66s and run my Tele or Gretsch and it's golden.

HOWEVER, I stumbled across this youtube video which sold me on the Tweed Bassman vibe:

Probably the best clean tone I've heard on Youtube...wow.

My question: If I throw in 5881s, a 12AY7 in V1, rebias, and run it through an open back 4x10, can I get my Germino Classic 45 in the ballpark? I know the JTM-45 has higher filtering than a Bassman and the transformers are different, but can I get close enough to make the work worthwhile?

Cool. Mine has the low-voltage PT.

For the cab, I was thinking of the Mojotone select 4x10 cab, as it's the same as my 2x12 cab.

For the speakers, I don't know...I'm ignorant as to Tweed Bassman speakers....10" is a new realm for me.

Any recommendations as to the speakers and cabinet?

Try anthony at stagecraft for the cab.

Speakers...Jensen reissue P10's or Eminence Copperhead IMO.

Definitely go pine for the cab; it's a big part of the tweed sound.

Copperheads are great, but you really have to break them in.
