Aerosmith. I was listening to the Vinyl of this gem tonight. My fav album by my favorite band. This is one I typically sit in the dark, play it loud, and let it wash over me. It's such a dark and moody album, and it sounds great, really good production, especially compared to the first album. Seasons of Whither, Lord of the thighs, and spaced are probably my favorite songs on it. Even with the turmoil behind making it and needing outside gutaristists, or maybe because of all that, it turned out pretty brilliant.

Between the R&B of the first album, and the harder rock of Toys, sits this psychedelic rock Rnb tinged masterpiece

    Anybody else love his One?

While ROCKS is my favorite, this one might be my second. Lord Of The Thighs and Seasons Of Wither are worth the price of admission!

great album! my only gripe is that drums aren’t recorded that well. I prefer the raw production of the first album. but still... they were on fire back then and the drugs hadn’t become detrimental yet.

great clip from the ‘Wings era:

I saw them on the tail end of the GYW tour, I was in 7th grade! They were on fire. During the show they announce a new album coming out in a few weeks and played a couple of songs from it Walk this Way and Sweet Emotion.

You can clearly hear why they brought in Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter for the record.

Memorable, memorable vinyl for me. I'd hiked down from campus and had brought back an empty bookshelf stereo cab and an 8" guitar driver from the local Radio Shack to supplement my clock radio in my dorm room and set it bedside aimed at my ear. Awoke to my first hearing of the guitar solos from Train Kept A Rolling as the next morning's alarm wondering who the artist was, and then opted to skip the long walk to my first class of the morning while I waited for the DJ to come on the radio to say the name of the band.

Toys and GYW are two of my favorite records. Period. A-smith were my first concert ever, August 1976. Great stuff.

Back in the early 90s, my dad had told me he just played in a charity golf tournament with a guy that plays guitar in a band called Aerosmith. He had no idea who the guy was, but was told this. Anyhow, I say to my dad, "You played golf with Joe Perry!?". Well, it was actually Brad. Funny.
