Alright, I've been gassing for a while now for a M60 and I think I am ready to take the big plunge. It will be the most I've spent on a amp so I would like to hear your comments on this amp. I play mostly hard rock, 80's 90's stuff, but I like a good clean sound at times too. I also want a good master as I do practice at home quite a bit. I currently play through a soldano HR50 and Cornford Hellcat which you can compare to. Will the Modena live up to the hype I've been reading and take me to a new level?

    Thanx,
    JB

i've heard the 90 in person and it's very impressive.
not in your face like a modded marshall but man it's the shite.
some people that like non compressed brite marshalls won't like it.

everyone else with a pulse will

clean stays clean. very nice clean .... not like a two rock "clean" channel
but not the lifeless clean of a marshall clone. reminds me of the suhr clean ....it's very good.

i own a modena 90...also owned an rk100....love them both,..the modena is more agressive if you want it ..im actually contemplating adding an rk100..as i run 2 amps..or a carol ann to run with the modena..killer..unfortunately legal bills and other expenses keep my amp spending at bay

Take the plunge, you will like it. It's great for the music you described. I have an M60 myself and am totally in love with it. Very nice clean sounds, badass plexi like boost on channel 1, great rock sounds and classic rock lead sounds on channel 2 and fluid lead and way heavy metal on the boosted channel 2......with a GREAT master volume.

I reckon you have checked the sound clips at the Elmwood-website?
