Getting around the Eventide Timefactor A/D D/A Conversion

Hey all

I was thinking the other day, some people complain about the dry path of the Eventide Timefactor being converted to digital and therefore, losing some integrity BUT what if someone were to use a buffered dry/wet blender (set to 50%) and put the Timefactor in a mode as if it were in a parallel effects loop (all wet). That way, it would still maintain the analog dry path while having the delays. Do you think that would work? On paper, it would seem like it would, but has anyone ever tried it?

Yes of course, I believe plenty people do this with various tone-sucking effects, if stereo isn't needed, the Suhr Minimix is top notch. :)

Agree with prev. posts. I am hard pressed to hear the difference TF in line or straight to amp. And I'm positive the girl in the 3rd row can't tell the difference...

I didn't mean to derail anything, just asking the question. You have your answer it seems. It just seems like a lot of trouble, no?

Yeah, I can't really tell the difference either. And even if it was slightly different, is it necessaraly worse?
