Pricing isn't too bad considering the list price for my Gibson korina Futura was about 12k (I bought it used but had to sell it).

If this was just some dude who did it and wa selling this on craigslist, we would all be ridiculing it and saying how he ruined a perfectly good gibson.

Cool guitar! And it does sound pretty nice!..................however I would have prefered the fingerboard to have been rosewood with the KRAKEN theme carried over on the position markers. I think the white Hickory fingerboard looks out of place on this guitar. Regardless at 14K its at a price point that most guitar players won't be owning "THE KRAKEN"

That's a sweet guitar. Wow, real attention to detail. I don't mind the fretboard at all, looks really cool.

Redundancy...great idea and justifies the price to me!

    Ugh.

I appreciate the creativity just not the result.

So it's "an" True Historic! It's worth $12000 extra just to see how they managed to reproduce a historic example that never existed. Do you get to ride in the time machine? As for the design, to each his own, but this image is already a cliche and highly commercialized. Has anyone on this forum ever seen Stradivarius's "Octopus" violin? Oh, that's right... he made violins. For musicians.
