I had one in 1972-3. It wasn't a ES 335, and it wasn't a ES 175, so I kinda felt disappointed. It sounded good, and maybe I had the wrong amp for it. After playing other guitars, I realized I didn't get along with that skinny neck so much. I sold it and moved on.
Owned one for several years. Physically quite ungainly due to the depth, but well built and played very nicely. Considerably more mellow than an 335: for me, a jazz or maybe C&W (on bridge pickup) guitar, but not a good choice for pop/rock/metal. If it works in your musical context, a nice guitar: the thing I liked least about mine was the walnut finish.
