Does anyone know if there is a clone made of the GA-40 (besides the one by Victoria)? I can't get the sound of that amp out of my head.

Thanks,
Dylan

Yeah, I saw that one. Sounds amazing, but I thought I read a post that said he's not making amps anymore. I guess I could try to find a used one. Thanks though.

Someone from Tampa has been listing one for around $1500 for a while now. I have one and have often thought about thinning the herd but mine is an old friend just rarely used so I don't know what I would ask for it if I did sell it. Unique and way cool sounding amp for sure.

I picked up a real one - with LP script grill - in good shape for $1500 not long ago. No issues with reliability and all orig. Why not source out a real one?

Hmmm... Well, the schematic is out there on the web, so really any custom amp builder could do it. I recommend contacting Ryan at Classic Tube Amps; he built me a great clone of an old Valco amp at a very reasonable price, so I'm sure he'd be up to it.

Sorry guys...I know I may have disappointed a few people, but its taking a toll on my family. I love to build amps, I love to repair amps, but having a full time job and coming home to work on amps on my days off and in my spare time is ruining my time to spend with my little girl and my wife.

So I had to make a choice. If you could see my little girl smile and hear her laugh, it will soften the hardest of hearts! She's the love of my life and I'm not missing out another minute to read the butterfly and little bears book to her or watching her favorite TV show with her. Time slips by way too fast and I want to be there for her and my wife! Because before I will know it, she'll be off and on her own.

i believe the jrt 9/15 is supposed to be based on the old gibson circuits. Check out the 6v6 side when you get a chance, and get back to me. :)
