Gibson Les Paul '59 60th Anniversary: Pros/Cons?

    is this true? if so, did they find a stash of Sprague’s from 50 years ago? I was under the impression that they used fake ‘bees to complete the look.

    IMHO, these 2019s are nowhere close to the quality of the 2015-2016 True Historics. I just played a R9 2019 at GC and the carve was way off and not comfortable, the guitar was way too heavy, the nut was drinking and the guitar was lifeless. The aniline dye was way too dark (likely to hide the subpar mahogany). Too many changes and GMs at the Custom Shop lately. Best to let them settle down and see if quality improves. Just my take.

    i don't think thry are NOS. But yeah they made a big deal that they are using real paper in oil caps.
