    Why?

I mean, do you want it? If you want it, why do you want it? Because it's a 1978 LP or is it that something about the guitar "speaks" to you? Would you like the guitar if it wasn't 30 years old?

I'm not sure how you got all of that from my question  but if it helps.........................because I may want to go look at it and give her a test ride and being the dummy that I am I would like to know what the value of said item is.

    Thanks

Actually, those were great questions to ask yourself.

I didn't really think so either.

Well, if you decide you like it enought to buy it, may as well post a picture. My Friend has a 1980 Tobacco that is really heavy but sounds nice. I had the chance to buy it for $650 4 or 5 years ago. Oops.

I'm sorry if I came across as a jerk. I guess what I was getting at was that, depending on what you're looking for in a LP, a more recent, and more than likely less expensive, LP would probably suit you better. I know I'm not a fan of Norlin appointments (heavy, pancake body, maple neck, volute, wide headstock, etc...), and if you want a guitar that does not have the characteristics of a Norlin guitar, it would seem silly to be looking into a guitar that's going to have them...

No problems............like I said I'm a dummy........I don't know much about history / construction or the value of them.

    Thanks
