Rewiring a guitar and decided not to rewire the toggle. Now I have to figure out how to rewire the existing toggle to a 50s wiring kit. Here is a picture before I took the stock stuff out.

White - Neck pot, middle lug
Red - Bridge pot, middle lug
Bare Ground - There is a bare ground that is coming right out of the thick grey wiring. Thats grounded to the neck pot.

The above makes sense. The black and green have me assuming.

Black - Seems like it would be the direct connect to the lug on the input jack
Green - Seems like it would connect to the braded out wire of the input jack

Is the braided outer wire from the input jack a ground? If so, why is there an additional bare ground that they solder to the pot?

If my above is correct would I solder the Black to the stripped wire from the input jack lug? Then solder the Green to the braded? Then just tape around each?

FYI for anyone who does search and had the same question. My above is correct. The last piece is that the braded wire from the input jack needs to be grounded to a pot as well.
